Roku Expanding Its Reach to Europe

Now, Roku has set its sight upon the European market. Roku is expanding its licensing program to Europe in partnership with Highsense. Anthony Wood, CEO and founder of Roku, has said that with this licensing program, Highsense would be free to make smart TVs running on Roku OS. Transfer of technology, regular update of the OS, and tons of entertainment for the consumers through streaming are some of the attractions that give partner manufactures an edge over other smart TV manufacturers. Wood added that the company is looking forward to seeing its first Highsense TVs with Roku players anytime later in the year in the markets.

As of now, consumers have the option of choosing from nearly 100 Roku TV models made by top 10 brands in North America. Highsense has said that it will make available its Roku TVs in the market by the end of 2019. Its range will include many types of TVs with sizes going up to 65 inches. There has been no comment on the pricing of these Roku TVs till now. Roku has been the front runner in the world of smart TVs using its OS.
